Do you have men in your life who adore you? You have a great time with them. You laugh together, maybe they want to know about you and your life, they even say stuff like “you’re so great I can’t believe you’re still single!”
That’s pretty cool, right?
But then…single men ignore you. Or you go out on a bunch of first dates but you’re not getting the call or text to setup the next date.
Geez…when I was single married men loooved me! I used to write that off to the old “all the good men are taken!” Or it’s just because I’m dating after 40.
Well, that’s just bullshit…and you’ll learn exactly why here.
After you watch, tell me if you can relate. Do married men love you but you never get asked out? Can you think of something small that you can change up to start getting those cool single guys to adore you too?
I’d love to hear from you. Here are some of my ideas:

If he shows potential to be a good man, sure, make the date. You have a lot here, But girlfriend, if you keep attracting unavailable men, read this article:

Danielle Bailly says:
Is it possible to be too real with some of the available ones and still not get asked out? Not one to put myself out there anymore, I still attract the unavailable and it drives me nuts but I am also a combination of the scaredy-cat and a bit bitter due to years of trauma and sometimes (not always) feeling like I am not enough. Recently cancelled a coffee date with someone who kept asking – I finally said yes only to cancel last minute. Lots going on here so I’m thinking I will just suck it up and try to ask him for that coffee date…….. your thoughts?
Catherine says:
Hi Bobbi
That is so’ right. My current partner said to me, I love you, for being you. No bells and whistles, just you being you. I get along well with my Male colleagues (taken and single) because I am myself, what you see is what you get.
Cheers Catherine
Quadira says:
Thanks, Bobbi. Absolutely right! I long ago gave up trying to impress guys and decided to just be myself. Now if I could just Meet a wonderful, single and available man to be myself with, that would be awesome! 🙂
Bobbi Palmer says:
You are so welcome, Jen! And remember, there is nothing wrong with you. Quite the opposite! You are fantastic, just not showing men who you are. Hugs. Bp
Jen says:
Wow…this blew my mind. Honestly, I nearly cried. I always thought that there was something wrong with me that I could have married/unavailable men as friends but yet could not attract an available man. I thought I was giving off weird vibes or was doing the wrong thing. Gonna go and re-evaluate a whole lotta things now! Thanks for this!

This was an amazing “aha moment” video for me. I am the bell of the ball with married and unavailable men, and I have way too many in my life thanks to raising three boys. Wow. Lesson learned, and permission accepted to be myself completely from now on, whether they are single or taken. Great video/advice, thank you!
Bobbi Palmer says:
Dr LIz…I love you too! And I love to see you and your hubs living such a great life together. Big hugs, Bp

I have been single for 23 years, having one failed date after another, the rare occasion I even get one. Online dating hasn’t worked. Going to events hasn’t worked when trying to find men to meet. I’ve felt lately that I am invisible to single men. Like they are legitimately not interested in me and can’t see the real me. When I have gone out on dates, I have been treated horribly.
I’m always looking to improve myself and observe my own behavior in an effort to improve this ever-enduring plight. And reflecting on my past feelings and behaviors, I did come to the realization that I do feel uncomfortable around single men. I noticed that the married men who have liked me, I have always felt very comfortable around them. I’ve also noticed that it seems it is only married men who can see my good qualities and my true self. In my Google search to try to figure out why I struggle in this area of my life, I came across your video. This short and to-the-point video is the only thing that has helped me make sense of my dating struggles for the first time in over 20 years.
I don’t know where you get your knowledge and insight, but it is brilliant! Thank you for your work and sharing this video. Now I have to figure out what I need to do to make myself appealing to single men.
Bobbi Palmer says:
Nothing’s wrong but you’re holding back out of some kind of fear. I suggest that you spend some time exploring why. What are you afraid of if you’re authentic with men? Understanding that will help you move forward. Then start practicing just a little bit. You’ll start seeing positive responses. (Just like you get from your girlfriends and family.) Be a little courageous. You can do it! Bp
Rosemary says:
Great, simple and to the point advice. But I often find even with unavailable guy friends I’m still not 100% myself. I’m only my real self with girlfriends or family members. What’s friggin’ wrong with me??
Bobbi Palmer says:
Way to go, Lisa! You nailed it. And thanks for the sweet compliment. Hugs. Bp

This is the STORY OF MY LIFE! Thank you for the down-to-earth advice to just be real and be myself when I’m around a single, available, datable man. Thank you so much for your blog and videos!
Lisa says:
Bobbi you were so stinkin’ cute in this video lol! And you’re exactly right that we are most natural when we have no fears. I’ve found that I convo/talk so much more relaxed with guy friends I’ve made on apps who live too far away but we strike up a connection because there isn’t a threat of blowing it ha. This perspective caused me to rewrite my profile and put out more pictures that were good but also deliberately not hiding “me” because I’d rather be transparent and have them walk away before we start than “discover” something later. It’s hard to always stay in a position of self-confidence but I know I’m always more attractive when I come from that angle. 🙂
Carolyn says:
So simple! How did I miss this? Better late than never to learn.
